Well not all whole lot to say- I had another check up and I have gained a total of 11 pounds, my blood pressure is fine, the baby is in the right position and aprox. 17 inches long and around 5 lbs and all is well! I now go for check-ups every week. So I am 35 weeks today- only 5 weeks or so to go! How scary/exciting!?
Today we FINALLY got the baby's room all set up- there are still some little things to do but the MAIN things are done. Here is the fiasco with the crib- I bought the crib off of Craig's List (like a pennysaver only online) when my bro-in-law and I picked up the crib I remember the lady telling us the screws were in the crib so they did not get lost.......soooo...last weekend I go to set the crib up with my one bro-in-law Jon, there are no screws. So Aaron was working on the basement and said he would look at what ones I needed when he was done. Well he looked at the crib the next day and said we needed machine screws and he needed a tool from work to measure for the right size. So finally on friday we go to get the screws, come home- too small. We go back and get the next size up. So today He goes up to set the crib up and is trying to get the screws to work and I pick up a bag of sheets the that the lady gave me when we bought the crib, I toss the bag onto the hardwood floor and hear a thunk....yes, there were the screws- right there all along!!! Can I say...oops? I started laughing and said "Aaron don't kill me.." he looks up and sees me sheepishly holding the bag with all the right screws and all I can say is I wish I had a camera for the look he gave me!!! Oh the good times!!!
So after we got that set up my parents had brought over a dresser for us and it was older so kind of beat up looking- well I took the drawers outside, sanded them and re-painted them to match the room and if I do say so myself- it looks pretty dang cute!!!
So here are some pictures of the room...
this is a before picture- (with my great bro-in-law Jon who has helped me out a ton while Aaron has been busy working on other parts of the house)

Here it is (almost) done!!!

Here is the dresser I re-did

and it matches the bubble decals I put on the walls...

So I sorted through all the clothes I have and put them all away- and now I am getting more excited than ever to have this baby!!!
Here is a pic of me at 35 weeks- not the best picture in the world but please remember all the work I did today!

Ok, love to all!!!!!!!!!
Hi Chaia,
ReplyDeleteYou're looking great! And you did a tremendous job on the room. Our prayers are with you for a healthy, happy baby and delivery. So neat that Jonathan and Heather have a girl now and she will be almost the same age as your baby - her cousin. Danny sent this to me and also some pictures of Kendal (is that the right spelling?)
We love you,
Aunt Bonnie and Chana
