OK so this past weekend Aaron, myself and Asher went to Gilbert, West Virginia to a town that has a couple hundred miles of ATV trails, called the Hatfield McCoy trails- if you want to check it out check out http://www.trailsheaven.com we went with friends of ours the Youngs (no relation) and it is actually Aarons best friend growing up, his wife and their son who is about 8 months older than Asher. We had such a great time, of course I think Janell and I should win wives of the year awards for
A. going.
B. doing all the errand running, pizza pick up and grocery shopping.
C. sitting around all day while the guys rode the trails and the babies took multiple naps.
D. just because we are awesome! ha ha ha
So we left Friday morning and got a late start, then it rained, then we couldn't find the restaraunt for lunch and once we did lunch took forever because they were short staffed. So I was beginning to wonder how the weekend was going to turn out. The drive itself took nearly 6 hours and we had to stop a few times for gas or to feed the babies but lo and behold we made it!Here we are driving down...
Me bored of driving

Asher was entertained though

Rain rain go away

The town is actually close to the line of Kentucky. So we made it to our cabin while it was still light out and it was very cute but also very much on the road and very much missing a yard. Aside from that it was SOOOO CLEAN! I was thrilled for that especially with the babies but it was so clean and cute and cozy. Next time we go I think we will stay somewhere else just so we have a yard for the babies. But if you want to go and do not need a yard check them out here-http://www.millercabins.com/
Here is our cabin-
The inside had a bathroom and 2 bedrooms

So Friday we got pizza and hung out and watched a movie. Then Saturday the guys got a late start after some breakfast and going on a wild goose chase for a riding permit. Lets just say (some of) the locals in town are less than friendly. So Janell and I wanted to go explore but first Asher took a nap, then got up and Ayden took a nap and got up then Asher fell back to sleep. HA HA So our plans had to wait on naps. We ended up just going into town for some lunhc where we saw an AWESOME coffee shop and was sooo excited to go to it and it was closed. We found out later it has been closed for 3 years. With all the equipment, chairs, lamps everything still in there, the owner just decided she did not want to do it. Whatever. So we went to the local diner where we got ignored and served last out of all the people that came in with us or after us but that is ok. We know they were just jealous we had all our teeth (just kidding for those of you from WV) we did get to see 2 little tiny 70 year old something ladies come in and get a half rack of ribs each with sides and dig in!
Ayden was enthralled with all the quads going by

So they guys came back and were loving the trails!

Then the guys came home and we grilled up some dinner of steaks, baked potato's, sweet potatos ( I had a mishap with the knife and a sweet potato) and corn on the cob...please notice we were representing Da 'Burgh with out Steelers flag!

So the guys had a blast and all was not lost for Janell and I! Sunday the boys decided to be nice to their Mommas and nap at the same time so we got to go see the lake which was amazing!!!

So we had a great weekend and are looking forward to going back. Here was the beautiful scenery on our way home...

And here are some pictures that are just great! :)
